Student Activities
The Toronto Section "Student Activities Chair" oversees student
activities in the various branches within the territory of the Section,
with the intent of providing advice and resources, and acting as a
bridge between the student and professional engineering communities.
IEEE Student Membership
You can use the image link to the right or renew your membership online
and maintain your benefits of membership. (note: renewal period is
Oct. 1 - Feb. 28) You can also use the same
link to join as a student member.
Starting in 2006, there will be an additional grade of student member -
"Graduate Student Member". Click here to read more.
IEEE Publications On-line
Some of IEEE's on-line services (publications, email aliases, etc.) require an
IEEE web account because they are restricted to IEEE members. Use the
following three links to sign up for your web account, email alias, or credit
card.
Awards
The Section funds a program of scholarships to encourage IEEE related
activities and to recognize student achievement. This program was
started in the early 1980's. During the last 10 years, the Section has
awarded a total of $ 50,000.
