Our society represents the profession commonly known as Electronics Packaging, Assembly and Manufacturing. Our membership base is composed of engineers and scientists from different disciplines, such as electrical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and so on. We are an integral part of the global technology chain associated with electronics product design and manufacturing. While the industry has its roots in North America, Europe and Japan, it is now widely distributed around the globe with a significant proportion of electronic manufacturing located in Asia.
The purpose of our society is to provide a forum for professional discussion and exchange of information, knowledge and experience related to electronics packaging and manufacturing. The CPMT Society aims to greater global participation in its activities such as conferences, publications, technical committees, education and regional chapter activities. Virtually all of the CPMT activities come from volunteer efforts of engineers and scientists around the world. They form the core of the CPMT constituency.
