Rules
  • By registering on this forum, you agree to adhere to the following rules:

  • No Posts Related To Anything Illegal.
Do not post/discuss/link to anything related to hacking / warez / cracks / pornography, etc. Piracy, and anything related to it is not allowed on this forum. Exchange / sale of pirated software / music / games / movies, etc., is forbidden.

  • No Scamming/Spamming/Advertising.
This forum is not a marketing/money making tool! No Pyramid schemes, chain letters, spam, or advertising of Web sites/products will be entertained here. This applies to forum posts and the inboxes of our members.
If you receive any such messages, please forward them to the Administrator, so that the offender's account can be disabled.

  • Spamming / Advertising via the Private Messaging (PM) system
If you receive PMs from other users asking you to join their forums, or unnecessary abusive PMs, message the site admin. Your site admin is "Aditya". Don't start a new thread to inform the forum administrator. Spamming in private messages or harassing others in private messages will earn you an immediate ban.

  • No Controversial/Sensitive Topics.
Such topics — i.e.: competitor magazines, politics, racism, etc., — lead to heated arguments and are considered detrimental to this forum's purpose.

  • No Plagiarism.
Plagiarism is to be avoided at all costs and the original source must always be credited. If members are found violating this rule, they will be put on Warning and/or Banned depending on the severity or repetition of the offence and the offending thread will be locked/deleted without warning.

  • Use The Search Feature
Before posting a new topic plagiaor asking for help on anything, search the forum to see if the topic already exists. Theres no point in having two threads running for the same purpose. Members are expected not to repeat topics which are already under discussion in the same section.

  • Multiple Posts
Are to be avoided at all costs. Multiple posts in the same section or across multiple sections will not be tolerated.

  • Newbies
If you have a post count of 50 and above, or have been a member for a few months, you WILL NOT be considered a newbie, and we will not be lenient, even if it is your first offence. Older members should help new comers out. Point out threads to them if they haven't used the search feature instead of just posting "Search before you post".

  • Old Members
If any old member breaks a rule, NO leniency will be shown. Older members are expected to act as role models for new comers, and hence expected to follow all forum rules.

  • Post Titles
For quick responses to your queries, please coin the topic of your post properly. "HELLLPPPP MEEEE" or "S.O.S." or "in trouble" or "how to" just doesn't get the right attention. In fact in most cases it prevents people from even visiting the thread.

  • Signatures
Signatures will NOT contain links/HTML of any kind. Members sporting such signatures will find them mysteriously deleted.

  • Post in the appropriate sections
Not all members visit all the sections. People hang out in sections they usually like more or are more accustomed to. So to get proper help to your problem make sure your thread is in the appropriate section. Read the post below to check descriptions for each section.
For example, if you post a linux query in the "Life & More" section, you might not get the best answers. Most Linux fanatics and gurus hang out in the "Technology Louge" section. So that's the place where you'll get your best possible solutions.

  • Replies:
Monosyllabic replies and replies such as "I agree," "Yes," "Cool," etc. will not be tolerated and can be deleted without notice at the discretion of the moderators.

  • Rules Change
The rules will change from time to time as we add in new rules when people find loop holes in the older ones. We suggest you check this link at least once a month for any updates, in order to ensure that you are abiding by this forum's rules.
