Τη Δευτέρα 11 Φεβρουαρίου 2013 και ώρα 12 μ. δόθηκε διάλεξη με θέμα: "Network Localization" στο Athens Information Technology (AIT)" αμφιθέατρο 2A. Η διάλεξη δόθηκε από τον Dr. Andrea Conti (a.conti(at)ieee.org), IEEE Distinguished Lecturer, Assistant Professor, University of Ferrara, Italy.

Abstract - Network localization and navigation give rise to a new paradigm for communications and contextual data collection, enabling a variety of new applications that rely on position information of mobile nodes. This talk will present a brief technical overview of our recent activities with particular emphasis on cooperative network localization employing wideband wireless technology from three points of view: fundamental limits, localization algorithms, and network experimentation. Location inference for tagged and untagged objects may benefit from the processing of a small subset of high-quality measurements instead of the entire set of diverse measurements, which calls for measurements selection methods and exploitation of environmental information in location inference. Case studies based on measurements will be discussed.
