1. Jordan Section's members get FREE author registration in AEECT 2011 Jordan Section's members are invited to submit their research papers to AEECT 2011. They will save $400 on author registration; compliments of Jordan Section. For more information, visit: http://ewh.ieee.org/r8/jordan/AEECT2011/

2. New web site for Jordan Section is released
Eng. Abedalsalam Bani-Ahmed, Jordan Section's web administrator, has released a new web site for the section. This site contains the section's news, committees, chapters, branches, affinity groups, bylaws, list of members, and other useful information and links. For any comment or suggestion about this site, kindly contact asbani.ahmed@gmail.com. The site can be reached at: http://ewh.ieee.org/r8/jordan/

3. 2012/2013 EXCOM election uses IEEE vTools.Voting
The next Executive Committee elections in Jordan section will be conducted electronically through IEEE's vTools. Eligible members will soon receive an email message inviting them to participate in this election. For more information, check: https://voting.vtools.ieee.org/

4. New Communications Society officers
New officers were elected for Jordan's Communications Society. The Chair is Dr. Ghazi Al-Sukkar, the Vice Chair is Dr. Dia Abu-Al-Nadi, and the Secretary is Dr. Jamal Rahhal. Jordan Section wishes them best wishes in their assignments.

5. New GOLD Affinity Group officers
New officers were elected for Jordan's GOLD Affinity Group. The Chair is Dr. Mohammad Salah and the Vice Chair is Dr. Nathir A Rawashdeh. Jordan Section wishes them best wishes in their assignments.

6. Need Student Activities Coordinator
The IEEE-Jordan Section needs to appoint a Student Activities Coordinator. The student Activities Coordinator plans and executes specific regional plans targeting Jordan Section's student members. Interested members of grade "Member" or higher kindly contact Dr. Abandah at abandah@ieee.org

3. Need Student Activities Coordinator
The IEEE - Jordan Section needs to appoint a Student Activities Coordinator. The student Activities Coordinator plans and executes specific regional plans targeting Jordan Section's student members. Interested members of grade "Member" or higher kindly contact Dr. Abandah at abandah@ieee.org

4. Need Web Administrator
