About GOLD
GOLD is an acronym for Graduates Of the Last Decade, and all IEEE members who completed their first academic degree within the last 10 years are automatically members. The Region 8 GOLD Coordinator's job is to generate awareness of and to promote GOLD programs in the Region for the identification and development of IEEE volunteer leaders and members. He or she acts as an active promoter, resource, and liaison for sections and branches to the Section executive committee and GOLD related committees to generate and support GOLD activities.
