IEEE Nigeria Section

The IEEE Nigeria Section meeting was held at the Digital Bridge Institute, Abuja on May 14, 2011. Some of the officials and few members posed for a photograph after the event. The event featured the inauguration of the new executives that will run the affairs of IEEE Nigeria.

ELECTION INTO THE R8 NOMINATIONS AND APPOINTMENT COMMITTEE At the last Region 8 committee meeting in London, Engr. Tunde Salihu was ELECTED to N & A Committee of Region 8. The N & A (Nominations and Appointment) Committee is in charge of Nominating candidates for election and Appointing people to key positions in Region 8. This is significant because apart from being the first time we are getting anybody from sub-Sahara Africa being elected for this important and crucial position, we had to go through two rounds of election where the Chairs of UKRI (the host), France and Nigeria were candidates.
