Welcome to the website of the IEEE Education Society – Portugal Section Chapter.

This website is dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of activities of the IEEE Education Society in Portugal and Region 8 (Europe, Africa and Middle East), to IEEE members and to those who may have interests in the issues related to Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications and Computer Science.

The IEEE Education Society – Portugal Section Chapter was formed officially on the 19th September 2005, initially with a reduced team. Nowadays it is composed by eight members, with the following organization:

Treasurer: Mónica Costa (EST-IPCB)

Innovation on Teaching Engineering: Maria Teresa Restivo (FE-U.Porto) and Rui Jorge Lopes (ISCTE)

Promotion and Dissemination: Maria do Rosário Calado (FE-UBI) and Luis Gomes (Un. Nova Lisboa)

Connection to Entities and Organizations: José Alberto Fonseca (U.Aveiro) and Joaquim Castro Ferreira (FC-Un. Lisboa)

We count on present and future members to strength the education on Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering and Informatics (and related courses) in Portugal.
