Supports
1) Conference Organization Support:
IEEE Turkey Section may give support to conferences organized in Turkey in the fields covered by IEEE. This support can only be used to make reduction in the registration fee of IEEE members. Conference organizers should apply to IEEE Turkey Section at least 6 months before the conference dates (there will be no exemption). Please fill the following application form and send it to the technical activities officer (Murat Saraclar, murat.saraclar(at)boun.edu.tr).
Conference organizers may contact to related Chapter Chairs to invite a keynote speaker from Distinguished Lecturer Programmes of Technical Societies.
2) IEEE Conference Registration Support:
IEEE Turkey Section supports IEEE members up to 100$ to be used in the payment of the IEEE conference registration fee.
There are quarterly quotas to the number of supports, 8 supports per quarter. Applications are expected for a designated quarter and they will be processed in the order of submissions.
The conditions for the eligibility:
- The participant should be an IEEE member
- The conference should be an international IEEE conference
- The participant should have a paper accepted for presentation
- The participant should fill the following form and send it to the secretary and treasurer officer (Basak Yuksel, basak(at)ieee.org) with the receipt of registration fee after the conference
- Contact Region 8 Voluntary Contribution Fund (VCF) for more support
3) Support for Student Branches:
- Technical Seminar Organization Support: It can be used to cover expenses related to the organization of technical seminar. The amount of support is up to 50$. Each student branch can use this support at most twice in a year. Document describing the technical seminar written by student branch advisor is to be sent to Ece G. Schmidt (eguran(at)metu.edu.tr). The related receipts should be sent to the secretary and treasurer officer (Basak Yuksel, basak(at)ieee.org) to be after the event.
- Welcome Support for Student Branches: 50$ is given to student branches when it gets approval for its establishment from IEEE.
- Other Supports: If you have a project for the benefit of IEEE Members, please fill the following form and send to the student activities officer (Ece G. Schmidt, eguran(at)metu.edu.tr).
