The Instrumentation & Measurement / Computational Intelligence Joint Societies Chapter of IEEE Ukraine Section was established on June 7, 2005.

The Chapter currently consists of 31 members from Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyy, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporizhzhya,  Chernivtsi, and Odessa.

It specializes in organizing meetings, seminars and workshops, in supporting conferences and other science and technology events, as well as in delivering information to the members and establishing professional relations between them and their colleagues around the world. For achieving these goals last year members of the Chapter have given principal attention to the organization and realization of the IEEE Fifth Workshop on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems (IDAACS'2009) in Rende (Cosenza), Italy.
