GOLD
GOLD stands for Graduates of the Last Decade
GOLD is an IEEE-wide initiative but the IEEE CIS has its own GOLD subcommittee. If you would like to get involved or outline your views on what the IEEE and/or the IEEE CIS chapter could do to help the development and progression of GOLD members please contact one of the CIS GOLD subcommittee member in your region.
Dr. Coyle (CIS UKRI committee member) is also the Vice Chair of the CIS GOLD subcommittee and is very keen on hearing from GOLDs working in CI in the UKRI region. The CIS GOLD subcommittee is a nascent committee and is in the process of defining the roles of the committee and how it can be developed to support and develop new an innovative initiatives for new graduates and early-stage careerists working in academia (perhaps undertaking a PhD), in industry or in government. Have you any ideas about how the CIS can support graduates and initiatives that you would like to see developed within the CIS community for graduates and those in the early stages of their careers? If so, please contact Dr. Coyle. We will be forming a local (UKRI) CIS GOLD working group that will have a significant contribution to make to the CIS GOLD subcommittee and the CIS as a whole so please contact us if you are interested in getting involved.
