Workshop on anti-windup, bumpless transfer and related problems Date: 9th September 2002 Venue: University of Leicester Over the past decade researchers have uncovered many properties of systems which are, apart from a saturation nonlinearity at the input, otherwise linear. As a result, many anti-windup based design procedures have emerged to address the synthesis of compensators which limit the degradation in performance which sometimes occurs due to saturation. This workshop will focus on the discussion of anti-windup design techniques, and related problems, with consideration being given to both theory and practice. In particular, it is hoped that the workshop will provide a stepping-stone for the transferance of new ideas from academia to industry. The workshop will contain contributions from the following speakers: Dr. Stuart Crawshaw (Cambridge, UK) Professor Adolf Glattfelder (ETH Zurich, Switzerland) Dr. Jonathan Paxman (Cambridge, UK) Professor Ian Postlethwaite (Leicester, UK) Professor Anders Rantzer (Lund, Sweden) Dr. Matthew Turner (Leicester, UK) Professor Luca Zaccarian (Rome, Italy)
