Region 10 GOLD Awards
Since 2006, Region 10 has an annual GOLD Award which recognises individuals who made outstanding achievement in GOLD projects or activities which fulfills the Region’s goals and/or objectives. The winner is then forwarded for consideration of a GOLD achievement award at a world-wide level.
Purpose
This award is designed to recognize those substantive projects or achievement of a relatively short nature (one to three years) but which have left an undeniable imprint on the fabric of GOLD operations within Region 10.
Eligibility
- Must be GOLD members at the time of nomination.

Scope
One award annually, all Sections considered; the award must be approved within five years of the initiation of the project or event. If no candidate is found to be suitable, no award will be given in that year. The R10 GOLD Coordinator considering the annual nominations shall have the prerogative of carrying forward nominations to a more suitable time frame.
Nomination Conditions
- The Nomination Form sent with the Call for Nominations must be completed by nominator and endorsed by Section Chair.
- Nominations must be received by the IEEE Region 10 GOLD Coordinator not later than end of August in electronic means (pdf file) or fax. Make sure that an acknowledgement is received after sending the completed form, or it should be assumed that the submission is not received.

Basis of Selection
The award will be based on a selection that recognizes individuals involved with GOLD activities. The individuals are recognized for singular achievement in the development and completion of a project(s) or activity (ies), which are directed to the fulfillment of one or more of the Region’s GOLD goals and/or objectives.
Selection Committee The selection is to be done by an appropriate selection committee appointed by the Region 10 GOLD Coordinator. The decision of the Selection Committee is final.
Award Instrument A certificate will be presented to the R10 GOLD Award recipient.
Presentation The Award will be presented to the GOLD representative at the IEEE Region 10 Annual Committee Meeting normally held early next year, with the travel expenses to be supported by R10.
Record The R10 GOLD Coordinator shall maintain a record of award recipients on the R10 Web page.
