THE ASIA PACIFIC REGIONRegion 10 GOLD Awards
Since 2006, Region 10 has an annual GOLD Award which recognises individuals who made outstanding achievement in GOLD projects or activities which fulfills the Region’s goals and/or objectives. The winner is then forwarded for consideration of a GOLD achievement award at a world-wide level. Past winners of Region 10 GOLD Award and Regional Activities Board GOLD Achievement Awards include:
2006 – Helene Fung (Western Australia)- encouraged industry sponsorship support and participation
- enhanced connection between GOLD and IEEE student branches
- insipiring and training others others to become more active volunteers in IEEE
- outreached to students and professionals and obtained industry sponsorship
- increased GOLD membership
- increased professional social responsibility
- Organised the 1st R10 GOLD Congress, Beijing
- Promotion of GOLD activities in R10
- Served as MGA GOLD Representative
