Resources for GOLD Committees
- Initiative grants
Initiative grants (typically between US$150 to $300 each) are available for GOLD groups who wish to hold a new and/or bigger type of event, which they would like additional financial support for. To be fair to everyone, within each year the grants will be award to different GOLD groups. So please only pick the single most meaningful event that you'd like support for in your application, because you won't get a second grant for another event.
To apply for the grant, please submit a proposal to R10 GOLD Coordinator that as a minimum covers the following:
- Background & Objective
- Why are you proposing such an event? Who are the target audience?
- Details of the event
- Date, time, venue, who will be involved and what will they be doing?
- Budget
- Please include detailed budget of both anticipated expenses as well as revenue, including how much you are asking from R10 GOLD. It may be better to submit this part as an excel spreadsheet rather than a word document.
- Section/Chapter/Industry Sponsor Support
- Have you contacted your local Section/Chapter/Industry for monetary or in-kind support? If you haven't, do you plan to?
- Potential Benefits
- How does holding this event benefit your local GOLD members/your GOLD committee/R10 GOLD/IEEE in general?
- Reporting
- Indication of what reporting you will provide after the event is held. What indicators will you use to guage whether the event was successful?
