- IEEE SENSORS 2012 To Be Held in Taiwan. (18.12.2011
- IEEE SENSORS 2011, held in Limerick, Ireland, attracted 630 registrants and a large number of excellent papers. The proceedings may be seen in IEEE Xplore. Expanded versions of the best papers will be published in a special issue of the IEEE Sensors Journal.
- IEEE MGA IBSC is looking at the possibility of offering IEEE member group insurance outside of North America, in order to get a good amount of response, we recommend IEEE R10 members take the survey if possible.

On behalf of the Region 10 IEEE community, I would like to extend our heartfelt concern for our volunteers and members in Thailand who are currently experiencing increasingly difficult times with the floods that has swept through a third of their country’s land mass. We are also heartened to hear that our Section volunteers at Chulalongkorn University are using their technical expertise to design and build a prototype equipment to test high voltages in flood waters.
We wish them all the best in their endeavors and speedy recovery from the floods

IEEE Region 10, also sometimes
referred as the Asia Pacific Region, comprises of 57
Sections, 6 Councils, 21 Sub-sections, 500+ Chapters and 583
student branches. It covers a geographical area stretching from
South Korea and Japan in the north-east to New Zealand in the
south, and Afghanistan in the west. With a membership of 73,662, it is one of the largest regions in IEEE.
