Region 3 Administrative Information
Region
3 is organized and operated in accordance with the
IEEE Bylaws, "Geographical
Organization of Members", the IEEE Policy and Procedures Manual,
Section 1, "Regional Activities" and the
Region 3 Bylaws.
Region
3 is composed of nine geographical Areas in the Southeastern
USA and Jamaica:
The
Region 3 Director is responsible to the Regional Activities
Board (RAB) for the geographical organized activities
of Region 3 entities. The Region 3 Director chairs
the Region Executive Committee which is composed of
five officers (Director, Vice Chair, immediate Past
Director, Secretary, Treasurer or Secretary-Treasurer),
nine Area/Council chairs, eight Standing Committee
chairs and currently eleven Ad Hoc Committee chairs.

It
is the responsibility of the Region 3 Executive Committee
to formulate policies and procedures to ensure the
adequacy and excellence of programs intended for member
participation in their respective localities, to provide
an interface for members to the major Boards and to
ensure adequate resources are available to Region
3 entities.
