Welcome to Region 3 Electronic Newsletter

We would like to welcome all the IEEE Region 3 Volunteers to the second electronic version of the Region 3 Newsletter. This issue will focus on the Region 3 Fall reports to be presented at the Fall 2000 meeting of the Executive committee October 20 to 22, 2000 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Please plan to attend the pre-meeting e-Conference on Staurday October 14, 2000 on IRC Chat ( see the meeting agenda for further details).

SoutheastCon 2001

SoutheastCon 2001 is approaching quickly. Take the time to plan to attend. If your company is looking to recruit new engineers the cream of the crop of new engineering talent will be taking part in the student hardware and software competitions. Students from all over the Southeastern United States and Jamaica will be attending the conference and taking part in the competitions. Visit the site SoutheastCon 2001 for further information. Registration information will be sent to all members in January 2001.  If you need a meeting room for a committee function at SoutheastCon please contact the SoutheastCon Committee as soon as possible.

Region 3 Budget 2001

If your committee has any budget items for the Region 3 2001 budget please contact Charles Hickman by October 15 to be included in the 2001 budget request to the Region 3 Executive committee.
