The Sections in Area 3 (Atlanta, Central Georgia and Savannah) are making
good progress in fulfilling the needs of the members as is evident in their
reports submitted for the Region 3 Newsletter. The exchange of information
(communications) between the sections is an objective of Area 3 that needs
considerable attention and is critical to further progress in meeting the
goals of Area 3.There are three(3) major components to enhance
communications within Area 3:

1)  Develop and maintain an Area 3 Web Site… The space has been allocated on
the EWH server and the design phase has started.
2)  Investigate the possibility of an Area 3 Newsletter
3)  Pilot test Computer Assisted Interactive Meeting / Conferencing
techniques between the Sections in Region 3.

If effective linkage between the Sections can be created then the commitment
to common objectives can be established and the resulting  direction can be
aligned with Region 3 and the Institute.

A Vice Chair for Area 3 is still being sought.
