The South Carolina Council is undergoing a series of changes due to the retirement and movement of key members. Allen Thomas of the Piedmont Section was selected to organize and rebuild the Council. A meeting has been called for February 18th to organize and select council officers.

The Student paper contest will be supported at Southeastcon. The South Carolina contest will be held in March.

We also lost our key organizer for Southeastcon 2001, David Huelett. Mark Stokes and Nick Pasquerilla have volunteered as co-chairmen. They will be at Southeastcon 1999 with a report. We still plan to hold the conference at Clemson University at their new Madren Center.
