The annual Awards Luncheon will honor the following:

Region 3 Outstanding Engineer  will be awarded to Darrell G. Piatt, for
professional excellence, technical expertise, and innovation in the are
of the power delivery industry.

Region 3 Outstanding Service will be awarded to James h. Beall for
ongoing support, guidance, and development of Region 3 of IEEE.

Region 3 Joseph M. Biedenbach Outstanding Engineering Educator will be
awarded to Gregg L. Vaughn in recognition of educational activities in
support of the working engineer.

Region 3 Professional Leadership will be awarded to David G. Green for
leadership in establishing, operating, and improving the IEEE
electro-Technology Industries Database as an IEEE member service.

Region 3 Employer Professional Development will be awarded to Alabama
Power Company for outstanding contributions to employee continuing
education and professional development.

RAB Leadership will be awarded to James H. Beall.

In addition, there will be a full program of student, and student branch
awards by Student Activities. Recognition of our peers and students is
an important part of our Region's activities, so I hope that all EXCOM
members will adjust their travel schedules to accommodate Sunday's
