Memphis Section IEEE Report Chairman Wayne Jackson The Memphis Section of IEEE had several accomplishments in the past year that I am proud to announce. 1. Participated as judges and awarded a junior and a senior high student savings bond in recognition of their efforts in the Shelby County Science Fair. 2. Had annual awards banquet and recognized selected outstanding educator, professional Engineer and students. 3. Co-sponsored the Review course for the P.E. exam 4. Held a workshop on How To Interview 5. Held seminar on the High Frequency Electrocardiogram 6. Three very active technical chapters - PES/IAS, Computer, and EMBS 7. Mr. Allan Long was awarded as the Outstanding Engineer by the Memphis Joint Engineers Council during the National Engineers Week. It is a very prestigious award 8. Mrs. Renee Stoll was awarded by the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers as the Young Engineer of the Year 9. Our EMBS chapter started a student branch chapter at UT Memphis 10. Our EMBS chapter also co-hosted the First Biomedical Conference which was held in Memphis, Tennessee 11. Dr. John Reece, Professor at the University of Memphis was awarded as the Featured Engineer during the National Engineers Week by the Memphis Joint Engineers Council 12.
