I am especially proud of our Region for realizing the importance of electronic 'e' conferencing. The Savannah Section was fortunate to receive a wonderful working presentation of e-conferencing by Bill Ratcliff, our Area 3 representative, and Dave Green, our Region's Secretary. The Savannah Section has completed another year with a distinct focus on PACE, telecommunications, and the Internet. Although we are still struggling to draw more members to our Section meetings, Section communication has improved by updating our newsletter and adding more detail to our Internet site 'https://www.ewh.ieee.org/r3/savannah'. We continue to work towards improving our area schools in the Science and Engineering Disciplines. Cooperation at the local and district level has helped encourage technical studies. I would like to thank those IEEE volunteers and the many teachers that have taken the time to introduce the profession we find so exciting. Although this is a continuing effort, progress has already been made as evidenced by the improvement in our local Science Fair Projects. I look forward to seeing everyone in Lexington.
