Subject: Jamaica Section Report for Nashville


Major upgrading was done to the Jamaica Section's web site for December
2. JamCon 2000 Conference information is now on the home page, along with
companies that are working with us. Projections are that connections to
other companies will be posted, as soon as they come on board. The URL is

The Section meetings are being held at the Le' Meridien Jamaica Pegasus
Hotel, at a cost above projections. Nevertheless, the minimum of five
meetings this year has been exceeded and therefore a rebate request will
be made.
 
Annual General Meeting is scheduled for December 15 and the notice with
the nominations has been posted. This meeting with a Social and AGM is a
first for the Section, but it is in keeping with the decision to move
the start of term for officer, from June to January.
 
In October, Dr. Halden Morris who is expected to be the Section Chair for
year 2000, attended Sections Congress. All indications are that he is
tremendously motivated from this conference experience.
 
Once again, the Section is loosing members to migration. Still, no effort
is spared to increase membership.
