Area 3 Report to Region 3


There is a new Chair for area 3, Edward O'Brien.  Chris Hardy has assumed
the vice-chair position.  Bill Ratcliff, the past chair, did an excellent
job and has agreed to serve as a guide.  He has also agreed to continue to
maintain the area's web presence.

Georgia's three sections have been fairly active.  Each section has
completed or nearly completed the selection of new officers for next year.
The two of the sections have been actively involved in e-conferences for the
business of the area.  We have found them to be quite useful and expect to
conduct most business in this fashion.  We owe a lot to Bill Ratcliff for
bringing us up to speed.

Getting current members more active will be a focal point for the sections
this year.  Also, contacting members in arrears has been a past focal point
and will continue to be.
