From shaynes@rlc.net Fri Jan 28 11:49:36 2000 Date: Fri, 28 Jan 2000 09:46:09 -0500 From: Sean Haynes To: r3-excom2000@ieee.org Subject: Professional Development Conference As many of you know, the 2000 Professional Development Conference is schedule for Labor Day Weekend in Scottsdale, AZ. This year the conference will be held at Marriot's Camelback Inn. Also, as many of you know, this conference has been transitioning from an exclusively IEEE volunteer conference to a general public conference. I an attempt to make this a profitable conference, the Conference Operating Committee has been slowly make change to (hopefully) make this a better conference for both the public and IEEE volunteers. There are still plans to have reimbursement for PACE and GOLD members to attend this conference. It is hoped that the local sections will pick up the rest of the tab for the attendees. It is a good idea to start budgeting about $500 per person to attend the conference. Basically, the discussion item on the agenda is answer any questions about this year's conference. I will also give a brief description of the changes to this year's conference. Sean -- +------------------------------+----------------------------+ | Sean A. R.
