Subject: Section/Chapter Support - ad hoc committee Report


This committee has several items they will be tackeling during the
next year.  This include:

- Working with Sections/Chapters who are in arrears
- Working with Sub-Sections that have been having problems or are not active.
- Looking for ways to work with Chapters (possibly thru their Societies)

As part of this work, I will be attending, as a presenter and as the
Region 3 Section/Chapter Support Committee Chair, the first ever
Chapter Coordinators Retreat.  This Retreat will be held in New
Orleans before the Board series on February 7-9, 2000.  Plans have
been underway for several months for this Retreat and everything looks
to be coming together for an outstanding gathering of Society and
Region Chapter Coordinators.  Look for my report on this Retreat at
the next Excom meeting.

If you would like to serve on this committee, please let me know.
Presently this is a ad hoc committee of ONE and a few more individuals
to share the workload would really be appreciated.
