Report of the South Carolina Council

The SC Council held a meeting March 7th in Columbia. Attending were Lee
Stogner, Richard Coleman, Jerry Freck and Allen Thomas. Request had been
set to approximately 12 people who had indicated an interest in serving
as officers or excom members.  The lack of interest in making the
Council a viable entity continues to be a frustration.  I plan to hold a
conference call Monday April 3rd with the four Section Chairs to ask for
a commitment from them to provide a candidate for the vacant offices.
If they are not able to do so, I will determine if they are in favor of
dissolution of the council.  I plan to have all issues resolved before
the meetings in Nashville on the 8th and 9th.

The outstanding annual reports are being prepared and should be filed
before the SECon meetings.

We are currently reviewing the Council ByLaws as requested by
Headquarters.
