IEEE Region 3 Area 8 Report

March 29, 2000

Evansville-Owensboro Section:

 The Evansville-Owensboro section celebrated its 50th anniversary this
month.  Region 3 Director Dick Riddle attended the March 22 meeting and
presented a banner commemorating the event.

Paducah Subsection:

The Paducah section is inactive; with no elected officers at this time
The Evansville-Owensboro section officers are considering what they can
do to help revive the subsection.  

Lexington Section:

The Lexington section's goal is to have a section web page by the end of
Chairman William's term. By posting the newsletter and meeting notices
on the web page the section hopes to reduce their mailing costs and save
both work and money. 

Louisville Section

* The section has been active with good attendance.

The section's primary goal for the year is to expand their Friends of
IEEE program to involve more local industries.
