Subject: Past Director's Report

To:  Executive Committee and Region 3 Committee
Fr:  Dale Caston, Past Director

    Year 2000 should be an exciting year for IEEE.  The Institute's Finance 
Committee will continue to examine methods to solve the financial situation 
that will become very acute in the year or two.  The Institute as a whole is 
in good financial shape, but funds (present and/or future) may have to be 
re-distributed to care for the core fiscal needs at Piscataway.  Hopefully, a 
plan that will be agreeable to the Board of Directors (Dick Riddle is our 
Delegate) can be developed and adopted.

     We are looking forward to another successful E-conference at the EXCOM 
Caucus on 1 April 2000.  This is a good way to conserve time at Southeastcon 
in Nashville.   Each Region 3 Section should have a representative at the 
Region meeting in Nashville and that Representative should make a report 
about the events and actions taken to his/her Section.

      Also,  if you have suggestions for any of the following Regional 
Activities Positions for 2001, please let Dick Riddle know by 15 April 2000 
so he can consider recommending the names to the RAB Nominating Committee.
