                            REMINDER NOTICE:
       Call for Nominations - RAB Assembly Elected Positions
            30 APRIL 2000 - DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS

The RAB Nominations and Appointments Committee is seeking nominations
for the following positions.

 * Vice President - Regional Activities
 * Vice Chair - Member Activities
 * Vice Chair - Region, Section and Chapter Activities
 * Vice Chair - Strategic Planning
 * Vice Chair - Student Activities
 * RAB Treasurer

The RAB Nominations and Appointments Committee will recommend candidates
for election by the RAB Assembly for the 2001 term, for the office of Vice
President - Regional Activities/RAB Chair, RAB Treasurer and the RAB Vice
Chairs.

 * It is requested that each Region submit nominations for each
     RAB Assembly elected position.
     -  The Region nominating committee might consider members or
         past members of the committee who are familiar with Region
         affairs and gave excellent service.
     -  Encourage nominations for GOLD members.

 * It would be appreciated if a few words outlining the
    background of the nominee could also be provided.

 * Each candidate - submit a biographical statement, position statement
    and a letter stating their willingness to serve.

 * Self nomination permissible

 * Nomination packages available from Regional Activities
    Department (ra-admin@ieee.org)

 * Deadline for nominations is 30 April 2000

Note: A candidate for a RAB Assembly elected position can not be considered
for another RAB Assembly elected position. Any candidate nominated for an
IEEE Assembly or an IEEE USA Assembly elected position may not be
considered for a RAB Assembly elected position. In addition, a person who
has been nominated to serve for the same year as IEEE-SA President,
IEEE-USA President or Vice President-Technical Activities can not be
considered for a RAB Assembly elected position.

Information concerning the functions and the duties/responsibilities of the
positions is shown below with additional information available in the RAB
Operations Manual (Section 2).
