Subj: R3 MDC report January 2001 Excom E-Meeting

I had hoped to get some feedback from my outline of Membership
Development issues and answers I sent out a couple of months ago.
Having received none, I will continue to develop it on my own.

I am in the process of setting up an MD e-conference for February 17,
at 9am.  I will be sending out invitations by email as the
arrangements are completed.  If anyone knows that this is a terrible
meeting date for some reason, please let me know ASAP.  I don't expect
this session to run more than an hour.  I will publish the agenda in
advance.

I am looking forward to a productive MD session at SECon 2001.
Hopefully the IEEE MD retreat in March will add more fodder for
discussion.  I will have formalized some my ideas for specific
programs by then as well.  If you missed the outline I sent out last
year, I am attaching it to this mailing.

I know I have a number of very strong members that have already
volunteered for this committee.  I hope I am up to the challenge to
provoke the best that they can offer.
