South Carolina Council Report

The South Carolina Council will hold it's first meeting of 2001 at
SoutheastCon 2001 in Clemson, Friday, March 30th.  We have a full
compliment of officers again this year.  The Officer Confirmation form
has been submitted to IEEE in Piscataway.

Activities planned for the upcoming year are continued support for
SoutheastCon 2001.  Participation in the South Carolina Council of
Engineering & Surveying Societies annual Joint Conference in Columbia.
It will take place on April 6th at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference
Center. The South Carolina Council is sponsoring a session on
"Broadband Internet Applications" presented by Dr. Paul
Huray. Finally, the Council will help Columbia in preparation for
SoutheastCon 2002 to be held in Columbia on April 5th, 6th and 7th at
the Embassy Suites.
