Subject: Region 3 e-Conferencing Committee Report

Many of the members of the e-Conferencing Committee have been on the
road (and the net) to give presentations and manning information
booths to educate, promote and gain support for the use of
e-conferencing throughout the Institute.  These meetings that our
members attend, because of their other varied responsibilities to
IEEE, offer an opportunity to present the concepts and experiences of
e-conferencing in Region 3. Because of these and other efforts the
number of organizations beginning to use e-Conferencing is growing --
Student Activities, IEEE Activities Board, etc. Why not add your
organization to the list?  Plan on attending the e-Conf Training at
SoutheastCon on Saturday, March 31, 2001

The committee continues to hold weekly IRC project meetings and
utilize the News Groups for the development work. You are welcome to
sit in on the e-conferences, check the schedule on the web site --
https://www.ewh.ieee.org/reg/3/e-conf/ .

Any questions or issues you may have about the e-conferencing project
should be discussed in the Communications Committee meeting at
SoutheastCon or with any of the committee members ( we won't be
difficult to find).

Make e-conferencing a part of your operation -- Get a round TUIT.
