Savannah Section Report
 
The Savannah Section officers were re-elected to their respective
positions following a recommendation by the Officer Candidate
Committee:
 
Chair           Charles Cobb    
Vice Chair    Joe Buxton
Treasurer      Matt Conner
 
The Section has held regular monthly meetings since the beginning of
the fall, and meetings/tours are scheduled through June.  Meetings of
note included a joint meeting with the Macon Section at the Allen
Bradley facility in Dublin, the February meeting held at Savannah
State University with the EET students and faculty and the March
meeting which included a presentation by Dr. Robert Ashley, IEEE Life
Fellow.  concerning the effects of low frequency electro-magnetic
fields.
 
Upcoming meetings will include a tour of Plant Hatch, a nuclear power
generation station operated by The Southern Company and the Awards
Meeting, to be held at The Mighty 8th Air Force Museum.
 
Future events for the Savannah Section will include the Section
hosting an IAS Society Conference.
 
The historic challenges of the Section continue, finding volunteers
for positions and encouraging the membership to attend regular
meetings of the section.
