Subject: Webmaster Report to Region 3 Meeting at SoutheastCon 2001

The IEEE Region 3 website is up and running well.  All Standing
Committees have web pages on the Region 3 website or established
separately as individual committee sites.  Several of the committee
pages are currently under review by the committees and the links will
be posted on the Region 3 Home page when the review is complete.

I have completed a review of the site and have validated the pages I
control to the latest standards.  All theses pages are in compliance
with the W3C standards to HTML 4.01.  I would like to encourage all
the section and committee webmasters to validate their pages to these
standards.  Please contact me for further information on this process.

Any committee or section that would like me to review their site am
make suggestions for improvement in the content of the site or
updating the site to current standards for website design please
contact me during SoutheastCon or via email c.t.dawson@ieee.org or
c.t.dawson@computer.org .

We have purchased new software to be used in development of the Region
3 Website.  I have been using the new software Dreamweaver Studio 4
for the past 2 months.  Use of the new software has enabled me to
update the site with a greater ease.

The Communications Committee will be meeting at SoutheastCon from 9-10
AM on Saturday March 31.  Please take time to attend this meeting to
input your ideas on communications in Region 3.
