Director-Elect's Report

IEEE has some major challenges coming up over the next several years,
and I have been spending time getting a in-depth understanding of the
basis behind these issues.

I have also continued my involvement, as Past Chair, of the Institutes
Membership Development Committee for IEEE, which included attendance
at each of the Board Meetings.

Additionally, I have begun working with Jim Beall, Chairman of the R3
Nominations and Appointments Committee, to put togther a list of
possible candidates for the R3 committee Chairs and Vice-Chairs for
next year.  Jim and his committee are currently working to provide me
this list of candidates for the Region Committees and other positions,
so I encourage you to contact him if you are interested in serving on
one of these committees.
