Awards and Recognition Nominations for Outstanding Engineer, Outstanding Engineering Educator, and Outstanding Service were solicited, received, and distributed to the ARC (Area/Council Chairs) for evaluation. A Teller's Committee will meet Saturday morning to compile the results, and make a recommendation to the EXCOM. Awards will be presented at the SoutheastCon in April. I am pleased to announce that our very own Kathy Rinehart, Canaveral Section, will be receiving an IEEEUSA 2001 Professional Achievement Award, and Ralph Russell will be receiving a Citation of Honor. ARC has received a proposal to consider the possibility of establishing an Outstanding Engineer award that has a focus on software and computer hardware.
