Subject: Area 8 Report, January, 2002 

The three sections in Area 8 (Evansville-Owensboro, Lexington and
Louisville) enjoyed a successful year in 2001. It is anticipated that
2002 will be another productive year.

Area 8 Chair's Goals for 2002
	1.	Resolve the situation with the Paducah Subsection.  The
        subsection has been inactive for several years.
	2.	Identify a Vice Chair for Area 8.
	3.	Make sure all sections have their reports in on time
        (Meetings, Officers and Financial) - Due Date is Friday,
        February 22, 2002.
	4.	Make contact with all section chairs within your Area at
        least four times this year.
	5.	Ensure that all sections are aware of, and encourage them to
        send a representative to, SoutheastCon, April 5-7, 2002 in
        Columbia, SC.
	6.	Ensure that all sections are aware of, and encourage them to
        send a representative to, Section Congress, October 17-20, 2002 in
        Washington, DC.
