SPECIAL REVIEW COMMITTEE REPORT

Each Standing Committee is reviewed every six years. The purpose of
these reviews per the Operations Manual is "To delve into the
effectiveness, continued need, policies, procedures, action,
composition, budget considerations, and any other aspects of the
committee being reviewed.

Our goal is to review two standing committees during 2002.  They are
the Student Activites and the Strategic Planning Committees.  We
expect to have review committees named and the methodology developed
to assemble sufficient records on committee operations and
achievements from Region 3 Archives and Committee Chair's files by
SECON '02 at Columbia.  We will mostly be looking at information
covering the last 3 or 4 years.
