Hickman The general revenues and disbursements in 2001 for Region 3 were almost equal, with a deficit of $976. The major income sources were the rebate ($66,200), PACE funds ($14,543), and proceeds from SoutheastCon2000 and SoutheastCon2001 ($14,100). Interest income from two accounts was $7,049. It should be noted that the total assets were augmented by $55,000 transferred to Region 3 from Southcon. Through November, the Long Term Investment account had decreased by $6,143. Major expenses included travel ($38,278), student activities ($9,946) and publications ($9,890). A number of other activities had significant expenses, but these expenses were offset by various sources of income. For example, income for the Scout Jamboree since 1999 was $32,000 and expenses were $30,200. PACE Workshop expenses are balanced by IEEE-USA funds. The proposed 2002 budget has been prepared and submitted to Excom members for consideration. The Finance Committee will continue to monitor the Region 3 financial performance against the budget. Financial policies and procedures concerning Region 3 operations will be formulated as deemed necessary and submitted to Excom for consideration.
