Awards and Recognition Committee Report

   SoutheastCon 2002 will be the opportunity to recognize outstanding
IEEE members from Region 3 for their contributions to our
electro-technology profession.  We will be recognizing Arthur Greene
for Outstanding Service, Atef Elsherbeni as the Outstanding
Engineering Educator, and Willy Albanes as the Outstanding Engineer.
In addition, we will have to pleasure to present IEEEUSA awards to two
Region 3 members: a Professional Achievement Award to Kathryn
Rinehart, and a Citation of Honor to Ralph Russell.  Please join with
us at the awards luncheon on Sunday, and congratulate these
outstanding IEEE volunteers.
