Report on Life Member, Region 3 Status

Slow progress, overall, has been made in establishing Life Member
Chapters in Region 3.  One of the major concerns I have is there does
not seem to be an Institute program to break out Institute members by
class of membership by region, section, and zip code.  This would
vastly help in locating where members reside.  In my opinion, a
software program should be developed at the Institute level providing
this information.  I believe this would aid in locating functions in
relation to the geographic location of members.  It is my
understanding that the Florida West Coast Section has already
developed this type of program for their area for Life Member class.

In reviewing the Institute Secretary's report for 2001, it does not
break out the above nor does it need to.  However, it would be
invaluable for section membership development.
