   Director of University Transportation Center at the University of Alabama.
·  The 2002 "National Engineers Week Banquet" held at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Conference Center,
   in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida - 96 Attendees

Joint Section & FAU Student Branch Meeting - March 19, 2002
* "Extra Skills - Necessary For Engineers & Scientists Entering The 21st Century Work Force".
·  Presentation by Mr. Theodore(Ted) W. Hissey, Director Emeritus of the I.E.E.E. and Charter Member of
   the IEEE Foundation.
·  Held at Florida Atlantic University(FAU) to encourage academic participation.
·  Invited Broward and Miami Sections to attend - 11 Attendees.

Other Activities:
·  Sent PACE Chair to 2001 IEEE-USA Professional Development Conference-Tampa.
·  Sending Vice Chairman to the October 2002 Sections Congress in Washington, D.C..

·  Update e-mail distribution to cover Florida Council members as well as the Section.
·  Held Section Elections in December of 2001.
