REGION 3 CAUCUS RECOMMENDATION


RECOMMENDATION ACTION:

(34th) 1. Career Viability: The IEEE should engage industry, academia and governments to promote the life-long career through commensurate compensation, continuing education & professionalism of the engineer.


(23rd) 2. The IEEE should develop teaching materials to teach problem solving skills and critical thinking to K-12 students, to prepare more students to pursue engineering.


(27th) 3. IEEE shall execute a formal process to determine what the vision and mission of the IEEE must be to demonstrate its relevancy to the government, industry, future and current members and the public. It should be approved by the delegates at the next Sections Congress.

(1st) 4. IEEE shall facilitate accurate and complete electronic communication through
  1. centralized maintenance, active verification & correction of membership data (especially email addresses);
  2. limited edit capability of the master membership database from the section level;
  3. timely updates to section officer lists.
