SUBJECT: Report of SC Co-coordinator

The only activity since the last report in November was the 
submission of the SC Coordinator G & Os, and the issuing of 
SC'02 #18-Expense Reports & the Next Step a copy of 
which follows.

Greetings to all.

In the words of Russ Albright "it was an awesome experience."
But participating in Sections Congress 2002 in Washington, DC 
is just the beginning.  As of 12/19/02 eleven sections (or primary 
delegates) and three other participants have not submitted their 
expense reports to Charles Hickman at:

You, who have not done so, please do so NOW so that Charles 
will receive them and send the checks by Dec 31.  This will help 
tremendously in closing the books.  Thanks to all who have sent 
in their expense reports. 

Now that you have all participated in Sections Congress 2002 in 
Washington, there is more for you to do in your own town.  We 
hope you will transfer all the knowledge and enthusiasm which 
was available in DC to members of your Section over the next 
three years.   

There is another part you will play and that is to make sure that 
the IEEE Board of Directors addresses in some manner all 40 
of the recommendations which were developed by you on behalf 
of all the IEEE members.  

And a third step is to assure that your Section supports Sections 
Congress 2005 in Tampa.  Jim Howard is the General Chair.  We 
are asking each Section to help financially by contributing at least 
$2.00 per member not including Student members or Associate 
members.  All the Sections in Region 2 supported SC'02; we 
should do no less.

Butch Shadwell and I will be continuing as the Region 3 SC'05 
Co-coordinators so all sections will be hearing from us periodically 
during the coming years.
 
As we come to the end of this year let me wish you all a Merry 
Christmas season and hope for a successful 2003.
