IEEE Jamaica Section and its associated Student Chapters are working
assiduously to stage a memorable SoutheastCon during April 4 - 6,
2003.  We are expecting a full participation despite the war.

Our objectives for 2003 are as follows:
   	1.  Stage a most successful SoutheastCon in April
	2.  Forming a Power Society Chapter
	3.  Establish better communication with student chapters.
	4.  Continued emphasis membership growth - both regular and senior.
	5.  De-centralize section meetings to encourage engineers in rural
          areas to participate.
It is yet early days to evaluate our performance on the other
objectives as set out for the year eventhough membership is steadily
growing and plans are afoot to stage at least one general meeting
outside of the corporate area.
