Subject: Conference Committee Progress Report 

Region 3 Conference Committee 2003 Goals

1. Develop Region 3 training program specifically for conference treasurers.

   Progress: Goal will be advanced later this year.

2. Provide assistance to Southeastcon 2003 conference committee.

   Progress: Many hands have helped and will help the SEC03 Committee.
   We will continue the assistance until all SEC03 documents are filed
   in six months.

3. Review and improve horizontal conferences in Region 3. 

   Progress: Goal will be advanced later this year.

4. Consider possible new areas, sites, and CEU credits for tutorials. 

   Progress: Limited progress.  Will move this forward at SEC03 meeting.

5. Review and improve vertical conferences in Region 3.

   Progress: Limited progress.  Worked with RADARCON 03 for experience.

6. Provide Sections information on how to formally solicit Technical
   Society Conferences. 

   Progress: Goal will be advanced later this year.

7. Examine professional management for conferences. 

   Progress: Limited progress.  Will advance this later this year.

8. Seek bidders for SEC05, SEC06.

   Progress: We have one active seeker for SEC05 and several passive
   seekers for SEC06.
