Activities Summary:

Since the start of 2003 the Florida West Coast Section has
participated in the following activities:

Held a very successful 2003 Awards Banquet, with about 290 attendees,
in conjunction with other engineering societies.

Held two PES/IAS Chapter lunch meetings and three PES/IAS Chapter
EXCOM meetings.

Held one Computer Society Chapter evening meeting.

Held one MTT/AP/ED Chapter evening meeting.

Held two Teacher-in-Service Program presentations on the same day.

Provided 5 judges for the Hillsborough County Science Fair and
presented a Junior and Senior Award.

Started a Pilot Program on surveying FWCS Student Members to discover
their attitudes and opinions of the IEEE.

Activated a 1,300 section member e-mail list using the IEEE Majordomo
server.

Held three Section Executive Committee meetings.

Attended two Florida Council Meetings.

Attended an orientation meeting for the Sections Congress 2005 Local
Host Committee in Tampa.

Held two I&CPS 2004 Host Committee meetings.

Elevated five FWCS members to the Senior Member level.

Goals:

To support the 5th Annual Wireless and Microwave Technology Forum on
April 11 - 12th.

Increase the activity level in the MTT/AP/ED, CS/AES and SP/COMM
chapters to the same level as the PES/IAS chapter.
