Tallahassee Section is progressing well in terms of meeting and activities.  There are two student branches in town.

1) Florida A&M University and Florida State University College of Engineering
2) Florida A&M University
The student branch at Florida A&M University is very active.  They recently requested the Tallahassee Section to finance their trip to Black Engineer’s Conference at Baltimore.  They got partial support money from the section.  They conduct regular meetings and activities.  The representatives from Sprint and General Dynamics came and spoke in their meetings.  They are arranging a meeting to improve their resume writing skills.  They organized car wash to increase their funds. They received money for their meeting expenses from Tallahassee Section.

The IEEE volunteer pool at Tallahassee is very small.  We are trying to find new officers for the current year.

The Engineers working in the industry and research are extremely busy.  All the current IEEE officers are all from the universities.  As soon as we find more volunteers, we will be more active.
