The Region 3 meeting information, agendas, and reports received are

I thank Region 3 and ExCom members who have submitted their reports
prior to the meeting according to the guidelines posted on the web.
These reports are posted to the web linked with the agenda.  These
written reports when read provide an important communication function
for the region and its members. This will also serve as the archival
mechanism.

Also available on the web (linked from the agenda) are the minutes of
our past March ExCom (e-conf). The official approval of the minutes
are on the consent agendas of the respective meetings.

In accordance with our rules, the ExCom conducted an Asynchronous Vote
to approved the porposal for SoutheastCon 2005 to be hosted by Broward
Section.  A separate summary of this is listed on the agenda as a
subitem of this report.


Update on Goals and Objectives

  1. Submit the Region 3 Roster to the IEEE Operations Center

     Done

  2. Facilitate ExCom operation by working with the Director to
     provide timely meeting notices and agendas prior to the meeting
     and minutes within a week after the meeting.

     Done.  (Late on ExCom's minutes but both the Region 3 Minutes
     and the ExCom logs met this metric.)

  3. Participate as appropriate in Region 3 meetings

     Continuing

  4. Improve the meeting planning and tracking functions both for
     more service to the participant and to reduce the workload to
     maintain the information.

     In progress. Standardizing the meeting attendance form and web
     tools to support it.
